I had been looking forward to Sarah and Martyn’s wedding since they booked me many moons a go! Every email I got from Sarah made me grin from ear to ear as she’s so bubbly and was full of excitement for her big day and her wedding film. Before we knew it, our epic email conversations and Facebook chats led us to the day itself, and what a day it was!
Sarah’s Brother showed us how to de-puff eyes with spoons while Martyn and his sister decorated the bed with rose petals…
Sarah looked amazing in her Maggie Sottero bridal gown with the gorgeous detailing and sweetheart neckline and the Groomsmen looked very smart in their matching brown suits. Her make up and hair were perfectly matched to her look thanks to Lisa Hilton.
There are so many amazing parts to the wedding day but one of my favorite moments is waiting outside the ceremony room with the Bridal party. The buzz of excitement is overwhelming at times and when I saw Martyn patiently waiting there I couldn’t help but get a lump in my throat! Sarah nearly ran down the aisle to her Groom on the arm of her Brother which was lovely to capture as both their faces were beaming.
The weather was amazing for a March wedding in Wigan so we made the most of it and took a trip out in the Malvern Vintage style Wedding Cars for a few photo opportunities. This is always a lovely time for the couple to take it all in and enjoy a bit of each others company, alone. So the second car let us hop aboard so we could give them some peace and quiet-and we ended up getting some great shots of the car driving away from Haigh Hall!
While the guests made themselves at home in the comfy bar area the couple snuck in to the breakfast room to see how everything tied together and take the opportunity to have some more lovely couple shots with their photographers John and Andrew at John Brandwood Photography. The wallpaper made for an amazing backdrop for some photos with the Bridesmaids and the sun came streaming through the huge windows just in time for some romantic shots. I just love the shot where I’ve caught Martyn gazing lovingly at Sarah, makes my heart melt…
It’s proving quite popular to have speeches before the meal so nervous speakers can enjoy the meal without panicking about how it will go! I don’t think anyone had anything to worry about as the speeches were short and really sweet. I’m sure the pictures below show you how much Sarah enjoyed them, her smile is infectious! The little page boy and flower girl even gave a helping hand when they gave out a few gifts which got a few ‘ahh’s’ from the watching guests.
After such an amazing day it seemed a shame not to make the most of the unexpected weather and have a few beautiful shots with the red sunset lighting up the Wigan skyline…
