Women in entertainment are saying “Times Up!”
Shonda Rhimes and other prominent women in entertainment have come together to launch “Times Up” to help fight sexual harassment in the workplace.
“The clock has run out on sexual assault, harassment and inequality in the workplace. It’s time to do something about it.”

The movement’s website features a letter from over 300 women in entertainment, that encourages women everywhere. The letter is titled “Dear Sister”
“To women in every industry who are subjected to indignities and offensive behavior that they are expected to tolerate to make a living: We stand with you. We support you,” an excerpt from the letter reads.
According to Variety, the Time’s Up movement is also behind the call for women to wear black to the Golden Globe Awards in a sign of solidarity with victims of sexual harassment who have come forward in recent months with accusations against powerful figures.
Ava DuVernay, Viola Davis, Eva Longoria, Reese Witherspoon, Regina King, Justin Timerblake and his wife Jessica Biel, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston, and Kerry Washington are some of the women in entertainment who are a part of the movement.
