Verdict on Woman of the Hour

Woman of the Hour is a thriller following a struggling actress who becomes a guest on a reality dating game show. However, her pick for the bachelor is a predatory serial killer and one of the audience members knows his true colours.

This is a strange movie as it shows how happily involved in everyday life a serial killer is. However, it focuses on an aspiring actress and her struggle for fame who has a chance encounter. It feels like it is trying to be two different movies and lacks the focus on making enough out of one. The gameshow side worked and lightened the mood, but didn’t really achieve anything. Meanwhile, the hunting side of the story has a more intense feel that gets too much taken away by moving to the gameshow.

Where to Watch

Woman of the Hour is available on Netflix now.

Final ThoughtsWoman of the Hour gets stuck between two different stories.
