Canadian indie rockers Wintersleep have shared the video for ‘Forest Fire’; a song that features on their seventh album ‘In the Land of’. The video is directed, animated and edited by Christopher Mills of Number Four Films and finds Mother Nature conquering all as she takes revenge for the way the human race has treated the planet.
The song has the country-tinged and melodic elements of Wilco and Fleet Foxes as vocalist and guitarist Paul Murphy compares the subject of his affections to a natural disaster and reveals how this makes him feel: ‘You were a forest fire, burning effervescent through the night. I was a drunk empire, looking for a light.’; ‘You have burned through my defences’; ‘You’ve devoured all my senses’.
