Winter Wonderland has once again opened its doors at Event City in Manchester. The event is packed full of family rides, shows, a circus, stalls and various places to eat. And of course a visit to Santa's grotto is a must too.

We went on Saturday for the 11am opening and although it was ram packed with people, we still had a really enjoyable time there.

The sessions are split into 4 hour time slots so you get a full 4 hours there per ticket. The queues looked huge but went down vertg quickly for us. Once in, all the rides and shows come included in the ticket price. Santa's grotto visit is also included, but I paid extra for Izebellas gift and the photograph (which are quite expensive) I found the gift choice much better than last year; kids pick their own gift from Santa toy shop.

This year we actually got to see the circus show, which we missed on previous years. I'm so glad we did because some of the acts are really spectacular.

There are a few other shows to see too including rainbow and Frozen.

There are so many rides to go on. The queues were not so bad. There are rides to suit most ages from tots to adults.

The food is expensive but lots of choice. For larger families and groups it may be best to take own lunch.

Winter wonderland is open until January 1st but sessions are selling out fast. Tickets start at £20.50. Winter wonderland.
