I found Tyrozets very good for sore throats but you have to ask for them at the counter

My particular savior has been over the years has been the nasal spray "First Defence" from Vic. You must use it within the first few hours of a sneeze or onset of a cold, and it is truly miraculous. From getting a regular couple of 'throats' and sniffles every winter, I now get virtually none, except when I have left it a mite too late to administer the spray.

In 1873 Alice Vickery (born in Devon 1844) was the first woman to qualify as a pharmacist.
The first 24-hour pharmacy in London – at Piccadilly Circus – was
opened by the Boots company in 1925.
During WWI Agatha Christie worked as a pharmacist at the Red Cross Hospital, Torquay. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, a case of murder by poisoning, was reviewed in the Pharmaceutical Journal. Meet The Guides here… www.walks.com/guides
