Winter Scenes From Kelowna, BC

By Gail Aguiar @ImageLegacy

winter in Kelowna, BC, Canada

This post is for the people who’ve expressed surprise at seeing photos of Vancouver without snow. It’s true: Vancouver doesn’t get much snow in winter except at higher elevations, but it’s also the exception to the rest of Canada. So, if you’ve been expecting some real winter scenes I hope this are wintry enough for you! (There will be more.) Kelowna is about 400km inland from Vancouver.

Note the Portuguese guy working on his snowball-making and snowball-throwing skills. He doesn’t get much practice.

There’s also a video clip at the end of our take-off from Kelowna Airport, flying to Vancouver, for an aerial view of the snow.
