I've never read Winnie-the-Pooh or any of A.A Milne's books before but I'm familiar with the characters from the screen. So even though I hadn't read the book before I felt like Pooh, Tiger, Rabbit, Eyeore, Piglet, Christopher Robin and the Hundred Acre Wood were dear old friends. It was a pleasure to read. The illustrations are quite sparse but lovely and of a high standard. I get why this book and other books are so popular. This is a delight to treasure.
