0The U.K.-based Centre for Process Innovation has a vision for the future of flying, and it doesn’t include windows. The Windowless Fuselage prototype design proposed by the UK-based technology innovation center is imagines in such a way so that the passenger air-crafts have no windows whatsoever! What they are suggesting instead is to install large OLED screens that line the aircraft’s interior walls, turning the regular planes into windowless planes with panoramic views.
These high-definition screens would display panoramic views captured just outside, with cameras mounted on the exterior of the plane. The general goal with this revolutionary design is to use the technology to help preserve resources, money, and space for both the manufacturer and the passenger. It remains to be seen if the windowless planes are a truly revolutionary solution or they are just another awesome but pointless design…
