Today, I've got a great bit of news to share with you. The awesome folks at Monarch Airlines are giving away a trip for two to sunny Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, with free flights and a stay at the Barceló Lanzarote! All you have to do is submit your favourite travel photo.
I decided to submit this one, which I took last August (wow, that was a long time ago...) in England's Lake District. I had just started walking away from the 3,000-year-old stone circle at Castlerigg, and though the stones themselves had been bustling and energetic, I suddenly found myself in perfectly quiet farmland - the landscape, with its sheep and steep fells, felt more like New Zealand than Great Britain, and after coming from the insanity of London, I was so grateful for the sheer space.
If you want to enter, it couldn't be easier. All you have to do to enter is share your favourite travel photo with @Monarch via Twitter, with the hashtag #winwithmonarch.The contest runs through January 31, 2015, so it's a good time to go through your photos to enter (after all, you probably have a new year's resolution about "getting organized" or "cleaning out your camera," let's be serious)! Unfortunately this contest is only open to my British readers, but everyone else can support them by sharing some of the great photos you'll find.
