Will We Run out of Generals?

Just wondering. In the US, there are only 38 four-star active-duty generals in total, if Wikipedia is right, including 11 Army generals. If things keep degenerating as they have been in the past few days, then ... what happens? Does Congress suddenly promote more? Granted, General Petraeus had already resigned but now that another general is in hot water for excessive emailing (so to speak) and a third has just been demoted for "lavish spending," are we going to have a general shortage?
