Fashion Magazine
All it takes to revive this blog is a visit to the farmer's market in Camden, Maine. I went for the first time this year last weekend; it feels like a homecoming to see the farmers whom my family and I have gotten to know after going every summer Saturday for so many years. There's Bruce who has a lamb and vegetable farm, Kevin and Diane who sell the intricate baskets that Diane makes, Mike who has the best turnips and lettuce, and countless others. It felt so good to be back and to take photos of the colorful, bountiful goods (after the jump).
I think kohlrabi look like aliens.
The pie lady is new this year, and her display looked like it walked right off of Pinterest.
Cheese from Hahn's End farm, whose slogan is "Where the cheese stands alone."
Ombre occuring in the natural world.
Swordfish: It's what's for dinner.
Harukai turnips. They're sweeter than their red radish brethren and taste amazing when roasted with some olive oil and salt.
Our green haul.
