Thoughts on Wild Boar
Wild Boar is a creature feature horror movie. Using the stories of radiation to create the pigmen. We have a smart reason for the friends to be in the location, with the Geocache challenge. Mixing the two worlds together will make for a good concept for the survival horror.
We do spend a lot of the movie with Scarlett looking to figure out her way out of the situation. Learning to adapt to the environment she is thrown into. This world will give us the memories of ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ focusing on another radiation survival group.
The story will leave us waiting to see who will make it out alive. With Scarlett making the smart comments about each place being dangerous. She becomes the audience telling them this is a bad idea.
Daniel Roebuck will bring the confidence to his role, even if his character has big flaws. It is Augie Duke that must take on the most in the movie. Becoming the typical final girl in the movie.
The low budget horror is entertaining creature feature, on that will put us into a disturbing environment, battling to survive. It has strong effects used to make the pigman so disturbing.
Final Thoughts – Wild Boar is a disturbing creature feature.
