Why You Need To Prepare Immigration Documents In Advance?

Posted on the 11 January 2022 by Richard Peirce @TalCoWW

According to registered immigration consultants- while part of the chaos is unavoidable, most of it may be avoided with greater planning and understanding of which documents Express Entry candidates can apply for ahead of time and which documents must be applied for after receiving an ITA.

·   Police certificates

Applicants for Express Entry must provide police certificates for every nation they have visited for six months or more in the ten years prior to their application. This does not account for any time the person spent as a minor or time spent in Canada. The police certificate for the nation in which they presently reside must have been issued no more than six months prior to the date on which they submit their application, and it must not have expired.

·   Financial documents

Applicants must present an official letter(s) from one or more financial organisations listing all current bank and investment accounts as well as existing debts, such as credit card debts and loans, according to the Express Entry checklist. Applicants applying under the Canadian Experience Class or those permitted to work in Canada who have a genuine job offer do not need to produce the evidence of finances paperwork in the Express Entry checklist, according to various webpages on the IRCC website.

Because all 27,332 people accepted on February 13, 2021 were invited under the Canadian Experience Class, none of them should be scrambling to gather financial evidence to prove their financial stability.

·   Proof of work experience

According to registered immigration consultants -for each period of employment indicated in the Work History section of their Express Entry application, applicants must supply a reference or experience letter. It is not necessary for the letter to have been written within a specific time frame for past periods of work. For example, if a person worked in a capacity from January 1, 2018 to January 1, 2020, IRCC will accept a reference letter signed on March 1, 2020 for a 2021 application. Reference letters can be created ahead of time in this manner.

·   Other documents

Copies of passports, educational certificates, marriage paperwork, and, depending on the circumstances, proof of relationship to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident are all required documents for an Express entrance. This paperwork can all be prepared ahead of time. One question that occasionally arises is whether previously translated papers have an expiration date. They usually don't.

·   Medical exams

The medical examination is the only required document that cannot be prepared ahead of time. Given this, and in light of what I've previously stated, there's no reason why an Express Entry Canada applicant shouldn't be able to submit their application practically immediately following their medical exam with adequate planning.
