The little trick is very simple: before starting the wash cycle, slip a transparent plastic bag into the drum right in the middle of your clothes. Any will do, even the one you use for shopping. Once put inside, set up the washing machine as usual and run the program. When the washing cycle is finished and you open the drum, you will notice that there is no longer the shadow of a hair, hair or lint. It’s not complicated: to start, take it out of the device and manually remove any debris of dirt that it collects, in particular fibers of clothing, hair or pet hair. Then wash it under running water. If you notice that it contains scale deposits due to limestone, do not hesitate to immerse it in a solution of water and alcohol vinegar in a 1:1 ratio. Let the remedy act for 15 minutes, then scrub it with a soft brush and proceed to rinsing.
When the filter is clean and you put it back in the machine, wash the whole machine afterwards. For optimal cleaning, you can count on the cleaning, whitening and deodorizing performance of white vinegar. Here’s how to do it: pour a cup of vinegar into the detergent drawer, then run an empty wash at the highest temperature (90°C). And voilà, your washing machine is clean, shiny and sanitized again.
