Why Players Think Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Is Not Worth $70

Activision released the highly anticipated Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War a few days ago on November 13. Call of Duty enthusiasts were extremely excited to give the game a try, and in most cases, the Cold War didn't disappoint.

However, recently several players have come forward to say that Activision's latest title is way too expensive. Of course, Black Ops Cold War offers a good campaign, but it includes very less in-game content for multiplayer. That's why gamers think putting a $ 70 price tag on the Cold War is ridiculous.

A few months ago, Activision announced that the base price for its PS5 and Xbox Series X titles would be $ 70; that's $ 10 more than the price of the current generation versions. Nonetheless, players can perfectly pay this amount for "AAA" titles that offer enough in-game content for players to enjoy. Unfortunately, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War did not land in this category.

Reddit user " You__Nwah " expressed his disappointment at the " overpriced " title through a Publish. The player declares that the Cold War only contains eight multiplayer maps and one Zombie map. The number of maps is far too low compared to previous Call of Duty titles. For example, Black Ops 4 comes with 14 multiplayer maps, which is "almost double" what "Cold War" offers.

The Black Ops Cold War beta, which was completely free, already had six 6V6 multiplayer maps. So, by paying a hefty price tag of $ 70, players only get two extra MP cards. What makes matters worse is that the game only offers 27 weapons, "Including all side arms."

No doubt the Black Ops Cold War Campaign is pretty good; however, not all players purchased this game for the "Campaign". Several players have paid the amount for the good PvP experience - the part where the game disappoints.

Also, according to the community, PC optimization of the Cold War is horrible. Several players have complained that the game is working terribly even on powerful systems. FPS performance is almost half of what it was with Modern Warfare last year. Additionally, according to some gamers, their systems overheat when playing the game.

Of course, over time Activision will release more Cold War content like new weapons, multiplayer maps, etc. However, according to Reddit users, the excitement for Call of Duty titles only lasts about a year. So waiting an entire month to get new in-game content isn't worth the price.
