Why I Love Wednesdays...The March Family

Reflections of a Bookaholic
Today is November 23rd.  Know what that means??  It's my birthday :)  Yay!  I just wanted to tell you that.  Now on to the regularly scheduled programming.
I am returning with my new feature... Why I love which takes place on Wednesdays. Today's proclamation of love concerns our Book Family
Why I Love...The March Family
First and foremost, I want to say that I love to see families in books.  There aren't enough of them.  It is always amazing to me how easy (and often) authors kill off parents.  Whether it is a good idea or not, I really miss families.   I love book families especially when I can feel the love.  I love when siblings argue but stick up for each other when needed.  I love sibling rivalry.  I love parents that try to be parents..and sometimes fail.  It happens.  Families in books make me feel all warm and fuzzy and I often feel like I'm a part of the family too.
I absolutely love The March family (from Little Women).  I don't think I could have handled sharing the bathroom with that many women but that's just me.  I love how they argued (and apologized) and worked together.  I also love the Weasleys (from Harry Potter).  They might not have had a lot of money but they had each other.  That's a family I would love to fit into for a week or two.  I also love the Plum family (from the Stephanie Plum series).  They all seem to know each other well and their quirkiness is extremely entertaining.  I don't know that they give you the warm and fuzzy feeling though.  It's more like..."I really appreciate my family because I get to hear about yours."  But that's something to be grateful about right?
Either way, I wish more families would live in books because they are wonderful things to read about :)
A couple of things...
1. Happy Birthday to me :)  I feel blessed to make it another year (Yay for #27).
2.  I absolutely love doing Why I Love Wednesdays, but I'm thinking that it will come to an end soon.  Let me know your thoughts.  I'm running out of topics and I'm starting to feel like I'm loving the same things.  I Eek.  Don't want redundant posts.  No worries, there won't be any changes till the new year.
3.  Happy Thanksgiving!!  Eat extra food for me :)
