i also blame fox news which gives voters in these districts, who have very anti societal views, cover and confidence. i sometimes wish there was a popular conservative leaning news source that was more concerned with imparting knowledge than opinion- npr for the right- facts, not fox!
there's general agreement that the speaker of the house could easily pass a bill to end the shutdown, but if he does, thanks to those above, he will loose his job.
