Whisky Review – Penderyn Sherrywood Single Malt Welsh Whisky

If you're a regular subscriber, then you are well aware that we recently reviewed a trio of Penderyn Whiskies on our blog and YouTube Channel. All three were delicious, but that Madeira Cask was something truly special, so when Impex Beverages sent us this bottle of Penderyn Sherrywood (which came in a really, really pretty bottle!), we were quite excited to give it a try because we loves us some Sherry Cask finishing on our whisky!

We tried to dig up some info on this whisky, but this is all we were able to find on the Penderyn website:

This whisky has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso sherry casks to bring out its rich fruity flavour.

That's some pretty basic information there! No long and involved backstory. No marketing mumbo-jumbo. Just, this is how we made it. Period. End of story. In this day and age, we whisky lovers are bombarded with backstories and nonsense ad nauseam, so kudos to Penderyn for keeping it really simple. Simple folk like us appreciate your directness.

Not that you know all that, click the play button on the following video to find out what we thought of the Penderyn Sherrywood Single Malt Welsh Whisky:

If you like what you saw and heard, please subscribe to our blog and YouTube Channel. It's the easiest and BEST way to find out what we'll be tasting next!
