The chart above reflects the results of a new Politico / Morning Consult Poll -- done between March 13th and 16th of a national sample of 1,986 registered voters, with a 2 point margin of error.
The survey asked registered voters which party they trusted on 12 important issues that will play a part in the November general election. The results were mixed. Congressional Republicans were trusted more on the economy, jobs, and national security. The two parties were basically tied on gun policy and immigration (with Republicans 1 point ahead on gun policy and Democrats 1 point ahead on immigration). The Congressional Democrats were trusted more on health care, the environment, energy, education, sexual harassment in the workplace, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and handling the Coronavirus crisis.
