The representative will ask you to defeat five Pokémon trainers in West Province if you speak with them (Area Three.) You will receive the Amulet Coin after doing so and going back to the representative.

Return to the east Medali Pokécenter and speak to the representative there once you have eliminated five trainers. He will congratulate you on eliminating all five local trainers and give you an amulet coin in exchange. Give it to a Pokémon you use in battle every time to double your rewards.
