It tells you where the fish are and what kind of fish you can catch at each spot. But that only tells half the story.
There may be a fishing spot in a certain place, but that doesn’t mean it’s worth the time or effort to get there.
In the game, the best places to fish are those that are close to paths, kingdoms, or Statues of the Seven.
Players can quickly get to the fishing spot, catch as many fish as they want until there are none left, and then quickly go to the next waypoint that has a fishing spot close to keep going.

Places to Fish in Mondstadt
The waypoint is just outside of Mondstadt: To the north, across from the eastern beach where the Mondstadt Fishing Association guy is, there is a place to fish.
Springvale waypoint: There is a place to fish just north of this waypoint.
Anemo Hypostasis is south of the waypoint in the Stormbearer Mountains: To the northeast of the waypoint, a few steps away, there is a place to fish.
In Dragonspine, the waypoint that leads to Starglow Cavern: Instead of going down into Starglow Cavern, go west from the waypoint to a lake. There is also a source of warmth at the fishing spot, so you don’t have to worry about getting cold.
The waypoint is at the entrance to Stormterror’s Lair: Cross the bridge and go north. Drop off the west (left) side halfway across to reach the fishing spot on the rock below.
Places to Fish in Liyue
As you head west from Wangshu Inn: You’ll see some shacks with docks across the water. The farthest one has a place to fish. It’s on the map on the part of the beach that sticks out. Gliding is a quick way to get there.
You can find the Aocang waypoint here: To the north of it is a pool with an island in the middle, which is also a fishing place.
To get to the Hulao waypoint: Jump off the cliff and float straight east. You can see the place to fish from above because it is on the other side of the river.
In Luhua Pool: There is a Hidden Place of Guizang Formula. You can glide up and out of the pit, and to the north is a place to fish.
The point where you can go west of Mingyun Village to get to the broken bridge. A place to fish is on the southern side, about halfway across.
Places to Fish in Inazuma
It’s strange that there aren’t many places to fish in a country made up of islands where boats are the main way to get around. Still, there are some places where fish gather that are worth seeing.
Nazuchi Beach waypoint: From the waypoint, look west. Inaba Kyuuzou is on the site of a ship that has been broken in half. There is a place to fish at the back of the ship.
The waypoint is north of Sangonomiya Shrine: There is a fishing spot all the way down south of the waypoint, under a cliff that hangs over the path. Just go down.
The Statue of the Seven on Seirai Island: This is where you can fish in two different areas. The first one is in the water next to the figure. The other one is a little farther south on the eastern shore. It is closer to the waypoint east of the statue, but it is better to go to the statue because it heals party members who are hurt. It’s best to get rid of the Seirai Island Storm first because the second fishing spot is past a lightning shield.
