Burger fans will be treated to a formidable burger that may just deserve a poem dedicated to it. The El Perro Negro Haggis Burger consists of juicy double smash patties with Gold Taste Award Ramsay of Carluke haggis, burger cheese, Arran smoked cheddar, house pickles and burger sauce.

The Marlborough in Broomhill has launched a five-course Burns Supper menu with canapes of chicken and ham hock roulade on Arran oat cakes with piccalilli, confit duck and rabbit terrine with spiced pineapple and pomegranate chutney and Fife bannock plus Chicken Balmoral, Stornaway black pudding Wellington, clapshot, roast green beans and green peppercorn sauce. Desserts include a prosecco trifle, fresh raspberries, Cranachan and a shortbread crumb, whiskey poached pear, berry compote, warm vanilla custard and vanilla ice cream. Vegans and vegetarians are also welcome with rumbledethumps cake with a beetroot and pumpkin seed salad and Scotch broth with a warm bread roll and salt and pepper butter, followed by vegan haggis with a wild mushroom, spinach and vegan bacon Wellington.
