Where in the World? is our new occasional series in which Adam, The Daily Constitutional’s Editor is logging the locations of his London Walkers. “We meet people from all over the world, and I thought it would be fun to map them out to create a picture of where our London Walkers (and Daily Constitutionalists) come from. We’ll be breaking it down by English and Welsh counties, Scottish regions, Irish provinces, U.S States, Canadian provinces, Australian states, European, Asian, African and South American countries. Washington in London
American broadcaster Edward R. Murrow was raised in Washington State, in Skagit County. His famous sign-off line from his wartime London broadcasts – “Good night… and good luck” – is woven into the fabric of the American war legend. Here he is broadcasting from Trafalgar Square  during an air raid…

Murrow has a Blue Plaque at 84 Hallam Street W1…

Jimi Hendrix, born in Seattle, used London as his springboard to international fame, gigging here in ’66 and ’67. Hendrix features prominently on the Rock’n’Roll London Walk and he too is the recipient of a Blue Plaque, in Brook Street.
