J.P Morgan was born in Hartford, Connecticut. The famous capitalist was beaten out of the race to build the London Underground by fellow American Charles Tyson Yerkes. J.P was not amused, railing against Yerkes’s business methods as, "the greatest rascality and conspiracy I ever heard of".
