Where In The World No's 27 & 28: New Zealand North Island & New Zealand South Island Where in the World? is our series in which Adam, The Daily Constitutional’s Editor is logging the locations of his London Walkers.
“We meet people from all over the world, and I thought it would be fun to map them out to create a picture of where our London Walkers (and Daily Constitutionalists) come from.
We’ll be breaking it down by English and Welsh counties, Scottish regions, Irish provinces, U.S States, Canadian provinces, Australian states, European, Asian, African and South American countries.”
It seemed to be Kiwi Friday last week on the Soho in the Morning walk – folks from all over New Zealand – Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Which allows us to color in both the North and South islands on our Where In The World map…
Where In The World No's 27 & 28: New Zealand North Island & New Zealand South Island We've chosen black, in honor of the great New Zealand rugby union side, nicknamed The All Blacks. New Zealand first played England at rugby union way back in 1905 right here in London. The venue was Crystal Palace. 
Crystal Palace is something of a shrine for fans of London sports history and has links to football (in the years running up to the first world war it was the home of the F.A Cup final) motor racing, athletics and cricket (W.G Grace played here and lived nearby). 
Back in 1905, New Zealand established their formidable reputation, leaving the field as 15-0 winners. It was on this tour that they picked up the famous nickname All Blacks, their kit described by one newspaper as "their sable and unrelieved costume." And here they are…
