Due to the new Android system restrictions, downloaded files are now stored in storage/Android/data/org.telegram.messenger/cache. Its visibility will depend on file manager app’s permission access (for some apps its content is shown as empty so it is not visible).
If you can’t find anything in the above path, try this alternate path: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.telegram.messenger/files/Telegram
Where does Telegram Save Files on iOS
If you use Telegram on iOS – iPhone & iPad – follow these steps to find the Save FIles:
- Launch Telegram on your iOS device
- Go to Settings and choose Advanced
- Select Local Storage and you will see the path where the save files are stored on your iOS
Where does Telegram Save Files on PC
If you use Telegram Desktop and want to find your save files on your PC, follow these steps
- Open a conversation that you have sent a file on Windows OS version of Telegram.
- Right click on “OPEN WITH” link which is located just under of file.
- Click on “Show in Folder”.
- Now you are in the saving folder of Telegram.
Alternative Method
- Go to The PC / My Computer on your device.
- There is always a search box which is located top corner.
- Click on Search box.
- Type “Telegram Desktop” to search box.
- Wait until you get the results.
- Click on “Telegram Desktop” folder.
- Now you find the folder and saved files.
How to Delete Telegram Save Files
The method varies depending on the device from which you use telegram
On Android
clear the cache from within the Telegram app
On iOS
- Within Telegram enter the section of Settings
- Choose the section Data and storage
- Once inside go to Storage usage
- Below you will find the function Clear Telegram cache that simply clicking on the blue letters will allow you to perform the task
On PC
Access the location of the save files, see previous section, and delete the save files that interest you
