When America Weeps

Size (h w d): 36 x 48 x 1.5 in
Medium: Oil on Canvas

Description: Not since America’s Civil War has there been such a divide. Brother against brother all on account of political views.
I see artists creating art that is salacious to “voice” their opinion. When all they really are doing is joining the band wagon of ignorance.
It’s always been interesting to see artists, actors and musicians espouse their political opinions, when their supposed job is to take the
viewer/listener to a level of forgetting everyday life and its challenges, not lighting a fire of universal hate. I understand having opinions,
but hate towards one another on any level is not cosmically beneficial for anyone. Nor does it really elevate the creative process.
Hate just builds evil throughout the world and universe. In this painting all of the elements of the flag weep. The deep scar that is
forming from the country-wide and world-wide hurting is causing a spiritual rift
that can end in no good for anyone of any race, creed, religion or political preferences.
