They say not all that sparkles is gold, and for that has been the case for a very long time. There was a time, about 2 years ago, when I banned gold from my wardrobe. And when I do something, I do it with a passion. My jeans can not have gold zippers, there’s no gold hardware to be found on any of my clothing or bags and I found it not only satisfying but also very easy. By avoiding gold there was a lot less to choose from on random (online) shopping sprees and I’m sure it saved me a lot of money. I’m not against gold, at all, it just isn’t really for me. Until I walked into a sneaker store on Friday and spotted these all white Nike Air Max 1 with gold swoosh and I felt the very, very urgent need to take them home. Why? Please don’t ask. It probably has something to do with a state of mind, a ghetto mood and breaking fences once build. The gold swoosh might have a deeper meaning, but then again, these are just a very cool pair of sneakers. In which all that sparkles really is gold. Just what I needed. Happy weekend!
