A lot of females have this long list of what they want in their man. In the long run, some of the things we really want don’t matter.
1. He has to be Rich-There’s nothing wrong in desiring a man that is financially stable but declining a man just because he is not rich is not wise. Why? Good question. Money can’t buy happiness (even though a lot of females disagree). It doesn’t. Your husband can buy you everything you want and you will still be miserable.
What if you marry him rich and he loses everything tomorrow? What will you do? If you don’t see yourself with this man when everything goes dry then don’t marry him. Things happen; you never know what will happen in the future.
2. He has to be taller than me- I am guilty of this one as well. I think a lot of females got this concept from movies, society etc.. We want a man who we can look up to and can pick us up and spin us around ending with a kiss. Wanting a man that is taller is great but turning down a guy who is shorter than you is beyond shallow.
So what he is short? Did he choose his height? Why do we judge people on factors they could not control? I know movies like Cinderella have influenced our thoughts that we believe that our Prince has to be taller. It is ok, if he is shorter. Think about it. What do you really lose marrying someone shorter? NOTHING!
3. He needs to be muscular- I am also guilty of this one as well. There’s nothing wrong in wanting a man who is in shape but there’s something wrong in declining a man just because we don’t see enough muscles.
The reason why women want men with muscles is because it represents strength, bravery, protection etc. Most superhero movies we watch, we see men who are muscular. We subconsciously believe that every muscular guy is brave, strong. We don’t feel that safe with skinny guys.
Guess what?
There are some guys who are strong but look skinny. There are some guys who don’t have the body composition to look muscular even though they are strong. So don’t dismiss that skinny guy just because he doesn’t look muscular enough for you.
What if your husband stops working out after marriage?
He will get older and naturally lose his muscles. What will you do?
Think about it does his muscles really matter?
4. He has to be cute-There’s nothing wrong in desiring a man who is attractive but declining a man just because he doesn’t have a handsome face is shallow. Having a cute face is important but there are other things that could make someone attractive. Judging people on factors they had no control over is not wise.
He is handsome now doesn’t mean he will be handsome forever. Looks fade!!
Love matters not height, riches or physical appearance. LOVE MATTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
