I am at that really fun place that doesn’t happen often where I don’t have anything I need to read and a few really diverse books I can’t wait to read, so I want YOU to choose for me! Here’s what I have in mind, title links go to the book’s Goodreads page:
A book I’ve always wanted to read and I’m especially in the mood for something a little out-there. I haven’t seen the movie yet so it could make for a fun book-to-movie post.
- THE SPECTACULAR NOW by Tim Tharp
Another book that’s been made into a movie, I’m both a big fan of Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller (have you seen the trailer for his new movie Whiplash? He looks incredible.) and I’ve been wanting to give this one a read for awhile now.
- WARBREAKER by Brandon Sanderson
I have heard from so many people lately that I need to give Brandon Sanderson a read that it’s about time I bump him up to the top of the list.
- THE BELL JAR by Sylvia Plath
A classic that I’ve wanted to read since high school and have never gotten the chance. And this list wasn’t depressing enough so Sylvia Plath can bring us all down a few notches, here.
- THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE by Jandy Nelson
I love it when authors I like intensely praise other authors, and Jandy Nelson receives nothing but crazy compliments from Taherah Mafi and Ransom Riggs, so this is one I can’t wait to get under my belt.
