Happy November, everyone! Hope everyone had a great October and a very happy Halloween. Coming up in November, we have Natalie Wood as TCM’s star of the month to look forward to, as well as an excellent spotlight on documentary filmmaking. So let’s get to it and take a look at some of TCM’s scheduling highlights for November.

November 2: TCM’s spotlight on documentaries kicks off tonight with To Tell the Truth: Working for Change (Episode 1) at 8:00 PM, America Today / The World in Review at 9:15 PM, The Plow that Broke the Plains at 9:45 PM, The River at 10:30 PM, Night Mail at 11:15 PM, Native Land at 11:45 PM, Olympic Cavalcade at 2:30 AM, The Secret Land at 3:45 AM.

November 4: Lots of movies on today that deal with politics. Citizen Kane at 8:15 AM, Seven Days in May at 10:15 PM, A Face in the Crowd at 12:15 PM, Dr. Strangelove at 2:30 PM, Born Yesterday at 4:15 PM, and The Candidate at 6:00 PM. Natalie Wood has her first night as Star of the Month tonight with Tomorrow is Forever at 8:00 PM, Chicken Every Sunday at 10:00 PM, The Green Promise at 12:00 AM, The Silver Chalice at 1:30 AM, The Star at 4:00 AM, and No Sad Songs For Me at 5:45 AM.

November 5: A Sissy Spacek triple feature tonight of Coal Miner’s Daughter at 8:00 PM, Badlands at 10:15 PM, and Marie: A True Story at 12:00 AM.

November 7: Another night of documentaries tonight with Primary at 8:00 PM, A Perfect Candidate at 9:00 PM, The Times of Harvey Milk at 11:00 PM, Fahrenheit 9/11 at 12:45 AM, Hearts and Minds at 3:00 AM, Four Days in November at 5:00 AM.

November 8: In honor of Norman Lloyd’s 102nd birthday, TCM will be making him the man of the night. At 8:00 PM, they will be showing his Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival interview, followed by Saboteur at 9:15 PM, Limelight at 12:30 AM, The Southerner at 3:00 AM, and The Black Book at 4:45 AM.

November 9: All sorts of great stuff on today. The Kid at 6:15 AM, The 400 Blows at 8:45 AM, A Woman of Affairs at 10:30 AM, Love Affair at 12:15 PM, and East of Eden at 4:00 PM. Then it’s another night of documentaries with To Tell The Truth: The Strategy of Truth (Episode 2) at 8:00 PM, Prelude to War at 9:15 PM, The Autobiography of a Jeep at 10:15 PM, The Negro Soldier at 10:30 PM, December 7th at 11:30 PM, The Battle of Midway at 1:00 AM, Combat Camera: The Pacific at 2:45 AM, and San Pietro at 5:15 AM.

November 10: Happy birthday to Claude Rains! See him in They Won’t Forget at 8:00 AM, Daughter’s Courageous at 9:45 AM, Four Mothers at 1:30 PM, Caesar and Cleopatra at 3:00 PM, and The Invisible Man at 6:45 PM.

November 11: Some good stuff with Joel McCrea on today, like Foreign Correspondent at 12:45 PM, Sullivan’s Travels at 3:00 PM, and The Palm Beach Story at 4:45 PM. Then it’s another night of Natalie Wood with Rebel Without a Cause at 8:00 PM, The Searchers at 10:00 PM, Bombers B-52 at 12:15 AM, Kings Go Forth at 2:15 AM, and The Girl He Left Behind at 4:15 AM.

November 12: I keep meaning to watch He Ran All the Way, which is on today at 1:15 PM. In prime time, we’re treated to a night of movies based on the work of Noel Coward with Blithe Spirit at 8:00 PM, Brief Encounter at 10:00 PM, and Design for Living at 11:45 PM.

November 13: The Umbrellas of Cherbourg at 6:00 AM, Now Voyager at 9:30 AM, Woman of the Year at 2:15 PM, and In the Good Old Summertime at 4:15 PM.

November 14: More documentaries tonight with The Sorrow and the Pity at 8:00 PM, Night and Fog at 12:30 AM, Nanook of the North at 1:15 AM, Grass at 2:45 AM, Chang at 4:15 AM, Manhatta at 5:30 AM, and Lumiere’s First Picture Shows at 5:45 AM.

November 15: Steve Israel is this month’s guest programmer, who has chosen The Candidate at 8:00 PM, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington at 10:00 PM, The Best Man at 12:15 AM, and Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House at 2:15 AM.

November 16: More documentaries tonight with The Endless Summer at 8:00 PM, Hoop Dreams at 9:45 PM, Woodstock at 12:45 AM, and Elvis: That’s the Way it Is at 4:00 AM.

November 17: Enjoy a night of female con artists tonight with The Sainted Sisters at 8:00 PM, The Lady Eve at 9:30 PM, Blonde Crazy at 11:15 PM, Trouble in Paradise at 12:45 AM, and The Young in Heart at 2:15 AM.

November 18: Natalie Wood is back tonight with Splendor in the Grass at 8:00 PM, West Side Story at 10:15 PM, Love With the Proper Stranger at 1:00 AM, Gypsy at 3:00 AM, and Cash McCall at 5:30 AM.

November 19: Planning on being up at 4:00 AM? Don’t miss The Monkees in Head.

November 25: It’s a day full of Astaire/Rogers movies with Roberta at 6:30 AM, Follow the Fleet at 8:30 AM, The Gay Divorcee at 10:30 AM, Swing Time at 12:30 PM, Carefree at 2:30 PM, Shall We Dance at 4:00 PM, and Top Hat at 6:00 PM.
