Happy June! Eleanor Parker is this month’s Star of the Month so her movies will be highlighted every Tuesday night. This month’s edition of Friday Night Spotlight will be hosted by Eddie Muller, the founder of the Film Noir Foundation, and all of his selections are film noir classics that are based on novels.
June 1: Libel is the theme for the night with Libeled Lady at 8:00 PM, Libel at 9:45 PM, The Life of Emile Zola at 11:30 PM, and Sued for Libel at 1:30 AM.
June 2: A couple of good movies on this afternoon, The Public Enemy at 12:30 PM and The Harder They Fall at 2:00 PM. Essentials, Jr. returns tonight with The Court Jester at 8:00 PM and is followed by The Adventures of Robin Hood at 10:00 PM. Tonight’s Silent Sunday Feature is Gribiche at 12:00 AM.
June 3: Happy birthday to Paulette Goddard! Modern Times at 6:00 AM, Dramatic School at 7:30 AM, The Women at 9:00 AM, The Great Dictator at 11:15 AM, Second Chorus at 1:30 PM, Pot O’ Gold at 3:00 PM, An Ideal Husband at 4:30 PM, and Paris Model at 6:15 PM. Tonight is the first night of Eleanor Parker movies with Busses Roar at 8:00 PM, The Very Thought of You at 9:15 PM, Between Two Worlds at 11:00 PM, Mission to Moscow at 1:00 AM, Crime By Night at 3:15 AM, The Last Ride at 4:30 AM, and The Mysterious Doctor at 5:30 AM.
June 4: It’s the night for Robert Osborne’s picks with The Rains Came at 8:00 PM, Billy the Kid at 10:00 PM, That’s Entertainment! Part 3, and The Mask of Dimitrios at 2:15 AM.
June 6: Tonight we get Bride of Frankenstein at 8:00 PM, Godzilla! King of the Monsters at 9:30 PM, Creature from the Black Lagoon at 11:00 PM, It Came From Beneath the Sea at 12:30 AM, King Kong at 2:00 AM, and Cyclops at 4:00 AM.
June 7: Friday Night Spotlight is back with film noirs based on novels. First up are the 1931 version of The Maltese Falcon, City Streets, After the Thin Man, The Glass Key, the 1941 version of The Maltese Falcon, and Satan Met a Lady at 4:30 AM.
June 8: Jean-Paul Belmondo is the man of the night, with Breathless at 8:00 PM, The Thief of Paris at 9:45 PM, and Love and the Frenchwoman at 12:00 AM.
June 9: Lots of good stuff on today. Dames at 6:00 AM, Gaslight at 12:00 PM, The Talk of the Town at 2:00 PM, The Seven Year Itch at 4:15 PM, and Viva Las Vegas at 6:15 PM. After that is a night full of crime comedies with The Lavender Hill Mob at 8:00 PM, A Slight Case of Murder at 9:30 PM, and A Slight Case of Larceny at 11:00 PM. For this week’s edition of Silent Sunday Nights, we get Clara Bow in It at 12:30 AM. Later at 3:45 AM is The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
June 10: Eleanor Parker is back with Caged at 8:00 PM, Chain Lightning at 9:45 PM, Chain Lightning at 9:45 PM, Of Human Bondage at 11:30 PM, Never Say Goodbye at 1:30 AM, Pride of the Marines at 3:15 AM, and Never Escape Me at 5:30 AM.

June 12: Tonight is all about Lana Turner in the 1950s with Imitation of Life at 8:00 PM, The Rains of Ranchipur at 10:15 PM, The Sea Chase at 12:15 AM, The Bad and the Beautiful at 2:30 AM, and Latin Lovers at 4:45 AM.
June 14: It’s another night of film noirs based on films with Dark Passage at 8:00 PM, Nightfall at 10:00 PM, The Burglar at 11:30 PM, and Shoot the Piano Player at 1:15 AM.
June 15: If you’re a Rudy Vallee fan, you’re in luck tonight with The Palm Beach Story at 8:00 PM, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at 9:45 PM, and Gold Diggers in Paris at 12:00 AM.
June 16: Happy Father’s Day! Of course today will be all about movies dealing with fathers. There’s Bonjour Tristesse at 6:00 AM, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father at 8:00 AM, Father of the Bride at 10:00 AM, To Kill a Mockingbird at 8:00 PM, Life With Father at 10:15 PM, and The Kid at 12:30 AM.
June 17: During the day, we’ve got Picture Snatcher at 9:45 AM and The Awful Truth at 2:30 PM. Then Eleanor Parker is back with Scaramouche at 8:00 PM, Interrupted Melody at 10:00 PM, Home From the Hill at 12:00 AM, Lizzie at 2:45 AM, and How to Steal the World at 4:15 AM.
June 18: Four more from Eleanor Parker start the day – The Seventh Sin at 6:00 AM, Many Rivers to Cross at 7:45 AM, Valley of the Kings at 9:30 AM, and Above and Beyond at 11:15 AM. Then there’s a little birthday tribute to Jeanette MacDonald with Broadway Serenade at 1:30 PM, Bitter Sweet at 3:30 PM, and Maytime at 5:45 PM.
