Happy August, everybody! Who’s ready for another round of Summer Under the Stars? I know I am! I can’t wait to get started with this year’s round of Blogging Under the Stars and see what new-to-me movies I’ve been missing out on. I’m a big fan of a lot of the stars being featured this year so I know I’ll be having lots of fun this month.
My top ten days I’m most looking forward to: Humphrey Bogart, Doris Day, Ramon Novarro, Lana Turner, Catherine Deneuve, Bette Davis, Natalie Wood, Charles Coburn, Clark Gable, Glenda Farrell.

August 1: Humphrey Bogart is always a crowd pleaser, so definitely a good way to kick off this year’s Summer Under the Stars. August 2: If you like lighthearted entertainment, it’s hard to go wrong with a Doris Day day. Romance on the High Seas at 6:00 AM, My Dream is Yours at 7:45 AM, It’s a Great Feeling at 9:30 AM, The Lullaby of Broadway at 11:00 AM, On Moonlight Bay at 12:45 PM, By the Light of the Silvery Moon at 2:30 PM, Lucky Me at 4:15 PM, It Happened to Jane at 6:00 PM, her 1976 interview with Johnny Carson at 7:45 PM, Calamity Jane at 8:00 PM, Please Don’t Eat the Daisies at 10:00 PM, The Glass bottom Boat at 12:00 AM, Tea for Two at 2:00 AM, and Love Me or Leave Me at 3:45 AM.

August 17: For Wallace Beery day, we get two of the ultimate all-star movies — Grand Hotel at 8:00 PM and Dinner at Eight at 10:00 PM. I’m looking forward to seeing Min and Bill for the first time at 12:00 AM. Also worth staying up for (or setting the DVR for) is China Seas at 3:15 AM.
