If you’re an avid follower of the Shindo Life anime series, it’s important to become familiar with all of the Elements in order to grow as a character and become the best fighter in the world. On top of that, you should familiarize yourself with their strengths and weaknesses so you can work with them efficiently to become stronger. You’ll find our list of all Shindo Life Elements below.

What are Elements?

In Shindo Life, Elements are one type of power that dictate what special abilities players can use. Some Elements are rarer than others, giving the player better moves and abilities. These Elements can be found under your customization menu or edited with the Edit menu at any time from the main screen.

Element tier list

The best playing style for you may not be the same as the best play style for someone else. It’s important to keep in mind what Elements are best suited to your side when choosing your Element and checking our picks!

S tier

  • Acid
    • Summary:
      • Acid is currently the best element in Shindo Life, which means it’s hard to find one that can deal high damage, stun enemies for a long time, and block potential break effects and other attacks.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/80
    • Moves:
      • Liquid Style: Acid Breath
      • Liquid Style: Acid Field
      • Liquid Style: Acid Shark
      • Liquid Style: Acid Slide
      • Liquid Style: Acidic Wave
      • Liquid Style: Acidic Twin Dragon
  • Stone
    • Summary:
      • Due to Stone’s sucess at pushing the goal of an unstoppable defensive Element, it’s quickly made its way to the top of our tier list. IFrames, or invincibility frames, also do wonders for this Element’s performance overall. Because of Stone’s IFrames, players are more or less granted with invincible during certain attack animations meaning that they cannot take damage for a short period of time.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/5
    • Moves:
      • Stone Style: Earth Wall
      • Stone Style: Rage Trail
      • Stone Style: Earth Barrier
      • Stone Style: Stone Barrage
      • Stone Style: Earth Dragon
      • Stone Style: Earth Pillars
  • Prism Style
    • Summary:
      • Both Prism Style and Shiver are two good moves that deal heavy damage while paralyzing their opponents. The animations of these Elements, along with how impressive they look, have helped in the rankings.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/150
    • Moves:
      • Shock Style: Shock Bombs
      • Shock Style: Blast
      • Shock Style: Thunder Rain
      • Shock Style: Laser Stream
      • Shock Style: Shock Slam
      • Shock Style: Lightning Blaze
  • Shiver
    • Summary:
      • Basically just a slightly weaker, and less limited, version of Prism Style, Shiver has all of the same moves and abilities as its counterpart.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/90
    • Moves:
      • Shock Style: Shock Bombs
      • Shock Style: Blast
      • Shock Style: Thunder Rain
      • Shock Style: Laser Stream
      • Shock Style: Shock Slam
      • Shock Style: Lightning Blaze

A tier

  • Yang
    • Summary:
      • Yang and Yin both have fragile, but powerful movesets. While their move sets are similar, Yang gets an advantage because of its customizable skills.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/150
    • Moves:
      • Dark Style: Sword Blaze
      • Dark Style: Sword Flash
      • Dark Style: Sword Breaker
      • Dark Style: Sword Bash
      • Dark Style: Sword Blaze
      • Dark Style: Raging Slice
  • Yin
    • Summary:
      • There are two Elements that are similar in value: Yang, the top Energy Element and Yin, the middle Energy Element. Yin lacks the power to deal as many blows as Yang does but is still a powerful Elemental in its own right.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/150
    • Moves:
      • Light Style: Sword Flash
      • Light Style: Sword Breaker
      • Light Style: Sword Bash
      • Light Style: Sword Blaze
      • Light Style: Raging Slice
  • Order
    • Summary:
      • Both Order and Chaos are powerful but elusive elements. Their moves can still do some damage, possessing numerous stuns and knock backs, but their main advantage is the long-lasting auto-dodge ability. If one of these is your “in” into any situation, they’re the way to go.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/100
    • Moves:
      • Order Style: Beam of Light
      • Order Style: Grenade of Light
      • Order Style: Shock of Light
      • Order Style: Bomb of Light
      • Order Style: Blade of Light
      • Order Style: Gravity of Light
  • Chaos
    • Summary:
      • Chaos, the dark equivalent to Order, uses the same moves as its counterpart, but in a different style. This Element is just as stealth focused as Order.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/100
    • Moves:
      • Chaos Style: Beam of Light
      • Chaos Style: Grenade of Light
      • Chaos Style: Shock of Light
      • Chaos Style: Bomb of Light
      • Chaos Style: Blade of Light
      • Chaos Style: Gravity of Light

B tier

  • Combustion
    • Summary
      • Combustion is similar to Flame, but with added durability. Combustion can cause damage through a variety of attacks, stuns, knock backs, and even status effects such as burns. Because of this, Combustion is the second most powerful character in our top tier.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/90
    • Moves:
      • Flame Style: Flame Breath
      • Flame Style: Phoenix Rising
      • Flame Style: Dual Grand Flameball
      • Flame Style: Flame Bullet
      • Flame Style: Dragon Bullet
      • Flame Style: Dragon Bomb
  • Cement
    • Summary:
      • Cement was designed as an upper-tier version of Stone and it is often outclassed by other similarly ranked Elements. Cement excels in combo potential but is far from the most damaging Element.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/80
    • Moves:
      • Cement Style: Solid Wall
      • Cement Style: Bullet Blaze
      • Cement Style: Solid Dragon
      • Cement Style: Rage Trail
      • Cement Style: Earth Sink
      • Cement Style: Quicksand
  • Liquid
    • Summary:
      • Liquid is an eel-like zombie-like creature proficient at close combat. It’s really not bad and has a few strong moves to go along with its decent stun move, the “Prison”: Liquid Style. It just doesn’t have much stronger options that are used more consistently in other Elements, which makes it less relevant than it used to be.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/5
    • Moves:
      • Liquid Style: Waterball
      • Liquid Style: Raging Waves
      • Liquid Style: Shark Blitz
      • Liquid Style: Wave
      • Liquid Style: Prison
      • Liquid Style: Dragon
  • Gale
    • Summary:
      • Gale is a strong Element, but it’s lacking in several areas. Nonetheless, it can be effective when used by players with patience and determination. Gale’s moves can be slow and combo-less, but when used correctly, by skilled players can be a solid technique.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/90
    • Moves:
      • Gale Style: Vortex
      • Gale Style: Windshock
      • Gale Style: Wind Current
      • Gale Style: Blast
      • Gale Style: Wind Shock Slam
      • Gale Style: Storm Burst

C tier

  • Flame
    • Summary:
      • With Flame as a beginner’s choice, new players have more of a chance to input and activate multiple lower damage moves. The simplicity of Flame allows for players to focus on their favorite style of play, whether it be training or in a tournament match.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/5
    • Moves:
      • Flame Style: Fire Bullet
      • Flame Style: Phoenix Rising
      • Flame Style: Grand Flameball
      • Flame Style: Flame Breath
      • Flame Style: Dragon Bullet
      • Flame Style: Dragon Bomb
  • Shock
    • Summary:
      • Shock has a decent amount of damage, stun power, and mobility, but it falls short in comparison to the other Elements on this list. It can also be difficult to maneuver around at times due to the animations of it’s moves, limiting the number of players who would actually find enjoyment or use for it.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/5
    • Moves:
      • Shock Style: Stream
      • Shock Style: Blast
      • Shock Style: Senbon
      • Shock Style: Electro Control
      • Shock Style: Thunder Rain
      • Shock Style: Dragon Bomb

D tier

  • Air
    • Summary:
      • Bringing up the final list of our tier list is Air—an Element that should be largely forgotten by the general player base. Although it isn’t awful, it doesn’t stand up against any other Element to an extent that makes it worth giving another shot. Its one major pro is its impressive knock back ability, which is also offered by many other Elements that offer a knock back–plus–more damage, stealth, status effects, etc.
    • Rarity:
      • 1/5
    • Moves:
      • Air Style: Bullet Rush
      • Air Style: Wind Cutter
      • Air Style: Blast
      • Air Style: Vortex
      • Air Style: Palm Blast
      • Air Style: Tornado
