What is That Which Teaches Us to Love?

By Vikasacharya
Emotions and feelings are central to our life. Emotions helped humans evolve and survive by changing the way we react to and think about our environment.
Positive and negative emotions create patterned responses in both individuals. They allow us to exist and achieve the fullness of our personality by motivating us towards that which is good. Emotions, difficult to describe, yet still remain the universal language of the human race. No matter how esoteric emotions may seem, people must strive to truly comprehend them if they ever wish to live happy and fulfilling lives.Probably one of the greatest oversights in understanding emotions is believing that emotions are instinctual. In our society of today, stress plays a big role in our daily lives. Stress is what moves us, and it can also be what harms us. Yes, stress is what motivates us to do things efficiently, but it is also what can cause serious diseases to occur such as heart disease or cancer.
"I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them." ― Oscar Wilde
Stress comes upon all of us, especially those who have responsibility. Whether we have a final paper due in four hours, just failed an exam, or lost our job, it all plays a great role in our life and it can seriously affect us for the future. The emotions of the body are what contribute to stress. If a person is having a ordinary boring day, then they will have very low stress levels. But, if a person is having a miserable day or even one full of fun you will see that their stress levels are high.Frustration is a big word. It is the root of many sicknesses that include Depression, Panic Attacks, Stress, and many other unhealthy emotional sicknesses. It is an emotion that can trigger long term thoughts that will damage your mind for a long time.
"Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." ― Elizabeth Gilbert
What is that which teaches us to love?
Frustration is an emotion that shouldn't be taken easily. It doesn't sound dangerous, but long exposure to it will damage emotional thoughts. How does frustration form? Well, it can start from emotional stress. When bullies pick on you, naturally a sense of fear and disliking forms in your brain. This constant ruffianism can soon turn into frustration of thoughts about thinking. These will all lead to mild cases of frustration. Another way of picking up frustration is if you are doing badly at work, and you are under the threat of getting fired. This is another example of getting frustrated. The experience of love is unique for every person, and using that feeling to measure the potential success of a relationship is even more subjective. Nonetheless, at some point most of us face the timeless question of what makes a relationship work. Though we can't quantify love, we can look at variables that help us choose the right partner. Research shows that a few crucial compatibility make the difference between making up and breaking up. passionate love and companion-ate love. Passionate love starts with intense emotions and sexual attraction. Companion-ate love is based more mutual respect, caring and affection, and trust. Lust, or intense sexual attraction, seems to be a component of passionate love. Lust is all about the sexual chemistry with little concern for the other person's attitudes, opinions, or concerns. Love is bigger than you are. You can invite love, but you cannot dictate how, when, and where love expresses itself. You can choose to surrender to love, or not, but in the end love strikes like lightening, unpredictable and irrefutable. You can even find yourself loving people you don't like at all. Love does not come with conditions, requirement, Addendum, or codes. Like the sun, love radiates independently of our fears and desires. Love is instinctively free. It cannot be bought, sold, or traded. You cannot make someone love you, nor can you prevent it, for any amount of money. Love cannot be imprisoned nor can it be legislated. Love is not a substance, not a objective, nor even a marketable power source. Love has no territory, no borders, no calculable mass or energy output.
"I think of myself as an intelligent, sensitive human being with the soul of a clown which always forces me to blow it at the most important moments." ― Jim Morrison
