Schizophrenia seems like a complicated word to read and hear. Whose tongue stumbles in speech. If you try to understand it in the medical language then it is a mental illness. The person suffering from this disease forgets to understand real and imaginary things. Many times he remains lost. Under certain social circumstances, she is unable to decide what to react to.

There is a common belief that Schizophrenia is Split personality or Multiple personalities but it is not. People suffering from this disease are not violent and there is no threat to society. The disease is not caused by childbirth experience, poor parenting, or lack of willpower.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness. This disease mostly occurs in childhood or adolescence. The schizophrenia patient mostly complains of confusion and scary shadows. Many other problems can also occur to the patient of this disease.

A schizophrenia patient may have to struggle throughout his life to fight this disease. Schizophrenia is considered the most dangerous problem in mental diseases. A schizophrenia patient can easily become frustrated with life. And many times the patient also has a strong desire to commit suicide.

The patient of schizophrenia keeps wandering in his imagined world and is unable to distinguish between truth and falsehood. As the ability to think and understand is distorted, the synergy of thoughts is weakened and its contact with the outside world is broken. He sits alone for hours. Stops bathing, remain ignorant of hunger and thirst. Unusual symptoms such as talking to oneself, constantly staring into the void, laughing, or crying needlessly, the facial appearance may also appear. In this situation, even if the patient is absent, an object or person can be seen and feel a sound or smell. He may be misled by the false belief that people are staring at him, talking about him, mocking him, or conspiring against him. Also that some invisible external force is controlling his thoughts, aliens are contacting him. In the developed state of this problem, the patient becomes rebellious and violent and may be encouraged to take fatal steps like suicide. About 10% of Schizophrenia sufferers are at risk of suicide. ”

According to psychiatrists, symptoms of schizophrenia usually begin between the ages of 16 and 30. People usually do not have schizophrenia after the age of 45 and children also have this problem in very rare cases. But in adolescence, this problem is most likely and it can be very difficult to control it. Schizophrenia affects both women and men equally, but men experience symptoms like hallucinations and delusions earlier than women.

Symptoms of schizophrenia can be mainly divided into four categories.

1. Positive Symptoms of Schizophrenia

Such symptoms are also known as Psychotic Symptoms. For example, the illusion of being someone or seeing a scary shadow.

2. Negative Symptoms of Schizophrenia

To identify these symptoms one has to seek the help of a specialist doctor. These symptoms mostly take away humans from themselves. After reaching the peak of these symptoms, there is no expression on the face of the patient. Apart from this, a person gets frustrated and hopeless even in his life.

3. Cognitive Symptoms of Schizophrenia

These symptoms are understood by affecting the patient’s ability to think and understand. The patient’s thinking can be very positive or very negative. Patients with this symptom are unable to concentrate on any one thing for a long time.

4. Emotional Symptoms of Schizophrenia

These are mostly negative symptoms, such as the death of emotions. That is, in this disease, the patient neither feels happiness nor feels sadness.

The major symptoms are:

1. Delusions

The patient starts to believe wrong. There can be many forms of this belief such as delusions of persecution or delusions of being rich/powerful (Delusions of Grandeur).

2. Hallucinations

Strange sounds are heard to the patient of schizophrenia. They see and feel things that are not there. Apart from this, in many cases, they complain of feeling the taste and fragrance of things that are not there.

3. Thought Disorder

The thinking ability of a patient of schizophrenia is also affected by this disease. It may be that the patient starts talking and talking on another subject without any logical reason.

Other Symptoms Of Schizophrenia

1. Lack Of Motivation

In schizophrenia patients, the desire to do anything is lost. The patient avoids the daily routine tasks like washing clothes and cooking.

2. Poor Expression Of Emotions

Schizophrenia patients often do not feel the difference between happiness and sorrow. He mostly remains indifferent or neutral to these feelings.

3. Staying away from society (Social Withdrawal)

When a schizophrenia patient isolates himself socially. He often feels that someone wants to harm or kill him.

4. Unawareness of Illness

The elusive scenes and illusions seen by a schizophrenia patient are so real that they are not sure that they are ill. He also stops eating medicines for fear of side effects. They may also fear that they may be poisoned instead of drugs.

5. Cognitive Difficulties

A schizophrenia patient’s ability to concentrate, remember things, plan for the future, and resume life ends with less time. At the peak of the disease, the patient also has problems in talking to others.

Experts believe that there can be many reasons for a human to develop schizophrenia. It has been found in many research that sometimes genetic and environmental factors make a person schizophrenic. This situation also depends on the situation many times, but if the environment affects it, then this problem can engulf a person many times faster.

Causes of schizophrenia

1. Genetic Inheritance

If no member of your family has ever complained of schizophrenia, then the chances of getting this disease to a normal person are less than 1 percent. However, if one’s parents get this disease, then the risk of children getting schizophrenia increases by 10%.

2. Because of a chemical imbalance in the brain

Experts believe that a neurotransmitter is found in the brain, called dopamine. If there is an imbalance in dopamine, schizophrenia can occur. Other neurotransmitters such as serotonin may also be included.

3. Family Relationships

So far no evidence has been found to ascertain whether someone has had schizophrenia due to family relationships. However, some patients have stated that their problem increases due to tension in the family.

4. Environmental Factors

However, no direct evidence has been found by experts. But many experts believe that if the mother is under stress before the birth of the child or if she has had a viral infection, then there is an increased chance of the child having schizophrenia.

5. Stressful Experiences

Symptoms of schizophrenia may also appear due to stressful experiences at times. In fact, in most cases, people start having problems with bad behavior, restlessness, and inability to concentrate before the real symptoms of schizophrenia appear. Because of this, other problems in human life such as relationship problems, divorce, and unemployment problems start happening.

6. Drug-Induced Schizophrenia

Many times a person can develop schizophrenia due to consuming drugs. Among these drugs, marijuana and LSD addicts have the highest risk of schizophrenia.

Natural Remedies for Schizophrenia

1. Cardamom

take A small spoon of cardamom powder and a glass of hot water. Mix Honey into it. Leave the solution for 10 minutes after mixing it well.

Sieve the solution and consume twice a day. It helps to keep the central nervous system healthy and may reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia.

2. Vitamins

  • Vitamin B6 (chicken, eggs, fish and starchy vegetables)
  • Vitamin B12 (meat and dairy products)
  • Vitamin A (dairy products and green vegetables)
  • Vitamin C (citrus fruits, potatoes, and spinach)
  • Vitamin E (Vegetable Oil & Eggs)
  • Vitamin D (fish, egg yolk and milk)

A person suffering from schizophrenia is deficient in many vitamins. Some of these vitamins, such as vitamin D deficiency, may be involved in the cause of schizophrenia. In such cases, taking various vitamin-rich foods or supplements can reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia.

3. Basil leaves

Take a Basil leaves and Sage Herb. Add water. Boil four to five basil leaves and half a teaspoon of SEZ herb in a cup of water. Sieve the water after boiling for a few minutes. You can consume it twice a day for quick results.

Basil leaves have antioxidant properties, which can help treat schizophrenia. Besides, basil leaves help the brain function properly, which can relieve symptoms of schizophrenia. Besides, it has anti-stress properties, which also help reduce the stress caused by schizophrenia

4. Ginseng

Take a dry ginseng powder. Boil one teaspoon of ginseng powder in a glass of water. After boiling for about 10 minutes, filter the water, and separate it. Then take it when the water is lukewarm.

This solution can be consumed once a day for about six months.

It is an effective antioxidant, which may help reduce oxidative stress. Oxidative stress destroys brain cells, increasing the risk of brain-related diseases. 5. Omega-3 (fish oil)

Take Omega 3 supplements. Foods containing omega-3 fatty acids such as fish, soy, walnuts, eggs, and yogurt can also be consumed. In particular, it can prove helpful in preventing cognitive symptoms. This can help bring about a change in the behavior of the victim.

6. Brahmi

Brahmi has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. You will be surprised to know that Brahmi is used as an effective medicine to treat schizophrenia. Consuming Brahmi supplements can help reduce the positive symptoms of schizophrenia. It also has antioxidant effects, which may prove beneficial for mental health.

7. Ashwagandha

8. Chamomile

Put a small spoon of chamomile in a cup of water and boil it well. Sieve the water (chamomile tea) after boiling it well. Then take lukewarm chamomile tea. Drink this tea twice a day. The deficiency of potassium in the body is called hypokalemia. It can also be a cause of symptoms of schizophrenia, known as psychosis. 9. Amla

After drying the gooseberry, grind it finely and make powder. Drink one spoon of Amla powder with lukewarm water daily. If the patient wants, he can also consume whole Amla fruit.

Amla is considered an effective antioxidant, which may prove effective in reducing oxidative stress. Also, amla increases immunity, which helps in fighting schizophrenia.

10. Licorice powder

Mix two spoons of licorice powder thoroughly in two cups of water. Put this solution in a pan and boil it till the quantity remains half. Once halved, sieve it. Then cool it and drink it.

This solution can be consumed daily in the morning for one hour before breakfast. Liquorice can be used to prevent schizophrenia. It increases the oxygen supply in the brain so that the brain can function properly. Apart from this, it also helps to increase the neurotransmitter (chemical carrying signals from the brain) in the brain and memory that is reduced due to schizophrenia.
