What is an Ergonomic Keyboard?

Posted on the 04 October 2012 by Mirchimart @Chilbuli_Guide

Ergonomic Keyboard is used to minimize muscle strain and a host of related problems.Typically such keyboards are constructed in a V shape, to allow right and left hands to type at a slight angle more natural to the human form. An ergonomic keyboard may reduce muscle strain and reduce risk of carpal tunnel syndrome, but there is no clear evidence of benefit.Manufacturers claim ergonomic keyboards reduce injuries, and that after a user takes the time to adjust to this style of keyboard, ergonomic keyboards can make typing easier, faster and less awkward.

Sometimes an ergonomic keyboard will be designed in the unconventional Dvorak keyboard layout as opposed to the standard Qwerty layout, in the belief that this keyboard pattern also helps to relieve stress on the fingers and arms. But these ergonomic keyboards are sold at very high prices this is the main disadvantage of this type of keyboards.
