In this post I reviewed the L.L. Bean Harness boot and said they were too wonky and I'd return them. And then snow happened, and these boots were amazing on ice and trudging through slush. They were so easy to slip on and off at the front door, and with an addition of shearling insoles they were cozy and warm. With wear, they got a bit slouchy which made them look less wonky with my wide calves and well... I just liked them too much to care too much about things like calf flattery. I wear them on many weekends; I wore them in this post, and I wore this look for a day of running errands, having lunch with girl friends, and curling up on the couch and watching The Wizard of Oz with Emerson.
