Summer is the time of year when I most appreciate a membership to Gwynnie Bee. No dry cleaning bills, easy dresses to throw on in the heat, and something new for every wedding, shower, brunch, and vacation. In my latest Gwynnie Bee box, I received this pink wrap dress from eShakti and it would be the perfect dress to wear as a wedding guest.
Pink Wrap Dress: eShakti via Gwynnie Bee (14) | Gold Ring Bag: OTAAT/MYERS Collective (same bag in camel, larger size in silver) | Crystal Earrings: Cristabelle | Crystal Bracelet: Nadri | Nude Pumps: Nine WestThis is a true wrap style dress, but plenty of fabric for coverage. The color is even more beautiful and bold in person, and the flutter sleeves are flattering while also helping you catch any breeze on a hot summer day. Since the dress makes such a statement on its own, I kept accessories smaller. But to make sure this dress feels festive, I made sure the accessories had some shine.
These are earrings I recommended to buy from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They're less than $20 but look far more expensive. The bracelet was bought at last year's NSale and is worn quite often... and it's part of the sale this year as well (it comes in three colors, it's hard to choose which one to get!). This bag I bought over a year ago. It's such a statement and surprisingly holds a lot (in there is my phone, my ID and credit card, house key, and lipstick). Nude pumps are always a good bet when your outfit already makes enough of an impact plus they make your legs look long; these are my absolute favorite.
What's great is I can wear this dress once or a few times and when I'm over it, throw it in one of Gwynnie Bee's pre-labeled purple bags, mail it back, and get another piece lickedy split. Or if I love it, I can let Gwynnie Bee know and I can purchase it. This dress was fun to wear, but one I know I won't reach for regularly so I sent it back for another summer dress.
These photos were taken at the newly opened College Park Grill in College Park, Maryland. Located in the Cambria hotel at the intersection of Berwyn House Road and Route 1, College Park Grill is a great addition to the neighborhood. Quality steaks, excellent seafood, a gorgeous bar area and wine cellar and live jazz every evening, this is a great place for lunch with coworkers, dinner for Date Night, or a couple cocktails with friends. My family and I had the chance to try the menu at CPG's soft opening and we were highly impressed. It's great to see new restaurants like CPG come to Prince George's County; College Park is becoming quite the foodie destination!
