What I Wore: Cocktail Party Jumpsuit [Sponsored]

Holiday parties are a great time to whip out the glitz and glam, but if that's not your style, that doesn't mean you can't look cocktail party-ready. I'm a fan of Simply Vera by Vera Wang, a line of stylish regular and plus sized clothing only available at Kohl's. The clothing is high quality, on trend, but never too trendy. Vera Wang's line for Kohl's is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and I think it just keeps improving with age. This jumpsuit (sadly currently sold out) is the perfect look for one who doesn't like a lot of bling and feels more comfortable in pants. Very clean lines, a flattering sleeve length, pockets, and a crepe fabric with a hint of stretch makes this a great piece for a cocktail party any time of the year. It's an easy piece to glitz up with a different belt, statement necklace, even a faux fur collar (sadly this is also sold out). With a jumpsuit, you don't have to worry as much about shoes - a pair of pumps, strappy heels (I have these and they're quite comfortable and come in wide widths), or even flats will look great with it.

I chose to glam this look up with accessories - these dramatic chandelier earrings are also from Simply Vera Vera Wang. They're really nice quality and have that lever back to keep them upright and you won't have to worry about losing your earring back. Also from Simply Vera Vera Wang is this purse covered in little heavy satin petals to provide shine without too much sparkle. The bag has a hematite-colored chain so it can switch from clutch to shoulder bag (so convenient when at a cocktail party with hands full of drinks and finger food). Add a red pout and I'm ready for the next festive occasion on my social calendar!
