As a new TikTok user, one might get lost seeing a comment like this under a video. Also, little do many know that new trends are created on TikTok every time and some even get popular in the process.
The CHUPAGETTI comment started as a trend and is been writing almost on every video you come across on the For You page.
Below, we have explained what Chupagetti mean on TikTok and how the trend started.
What does Chupagetti mean on TikTok?
The TikTok Chupagetti comment comprises two words combined: “Chupa” and “Spaghetti”. Chupa is a Filipino word which means suck. However, Getti is from the common Spaghetti food we all eat.
Although this word has become a trend and many users are eager to spam it under a video, many still do not know what it means even though they use it. They are just merely eager to follow the trend.
However, some users find this trend annoying. In fact, many took to Twitter to rant about how annoying the trend is. Although, with time, just like every other trend, the Chupagetti comments will be put to rest.
Where did Chupagetti come from?
The Chupagetti slang or comment originated from a joke made by the Filipino creator, Tyrone Tiaga who uses the combined words of Chupa and ghetti in his video dated back to 2021.
However, due to a misspelling, the ghetti syllable changed to getti. But, the first person to use CHUPAGETTI as a comment is still unknown to this moment.
CHUPAGETTI has become a global trend and most people are using it as a comment.
