What Do We Do in Smalltown, Ontario?

By Specialneedmom2 @specialneedmom2

In short, we have fun. Things *are* different from Big City life, but we do more with less stress and greater happiness.

Although it’s still Autumn, we have a few inches of snow on the ground that probably will be with us ’til Spring. Hubby recently helped a friend put away hundreds of bales of hay for winter & revved up his snowblower. The kids have been rocking their snow suits for some time now & I have a mini snow shovelling team (it’s a great calming activity that keeps them busy). My only wish is that my double stroller had snow tires

;-)

So although we’re still busy outdoors, we’re up for indoor activities.
We are busy at school events & movie nights (featuring pizza, popcorn & Turbo!); library events (birds of prey shows or native species demos); visits to friends & family; parties & potlucks or just inviting friends over for brunch.

Hubby remarked the other day that we’re way more social in our Smalltown life than a city surrounded by millions of people. I say it’s because we actually have the time.

Here’s a clip of a recent outing to an indoor carnival. Yes, that’s Hubby inside the bouncy castle with Mr S!
