Western Digital My Passport SSD Refresh has been debuted with Storage Capacities Up to 2TB in India. The company states that it is the fastest My Passport drive to date and supports both platforms Mac & PCs. My Passport SSD comes with a durable metal design and three color options – Grey, Blue, and Gold.


Western Digital My Passport SSD Refresh Specifications


Western Digital My Passport SSD Refresh offers sequential read speeds of up to 1050MBps and sequential write speeds of up to 1000MBps. It features a durable metal design and is powered by Nvme technology. The company also claims that it will be able to move and edit content nearly twice as fast in the comparison of the previous version.


In terms of security, It has a password-enabled 256-bit AES hardware encryption that keeps the content of the user secure. For connectivity option, It has a USB 3.2 Gen-2 technology, with a USB Type-C cable and USB Type-A adapter. The new Passport SSD is ready to use out of the box and support both macOS (v10.13 and above) and Windows (v8.1 and above).


Price and availability


The new My Passport SSD by Western Digital comes in three storage capacities – 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB. The 500GB option is priced at Rs. 8,999, the 1TB variant costs Rs. 15,999. Lastly, the 2TB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 28,999. During Amazon festive season sale, the My Passport SSD carries a price tag of Rs. 6,999 for the 500GB storage, Rs. 12,999 for the 1TB storage, and at Rs. 24,999 for the 2TB storage. The offer is valid till October 30.


It is currently available for purchase on Amazon. Interested buyers will also be able to purchase it from the offline stores as well, Starting November 13. It has a five-year limited warranty.
