Glasgow brewery WEST have teamed up with Kained Holdings – owners of Finnieston, Crafty Pig and more, to brew up a special Rye Porter available exclusively in their outlets (including, of course, Porter & Rye on Glasgow’s Argyle Street) in the run up to the festive period.
WEST owner Petra Wetzel said: “We’ve never brewed a Rye Porter before, Kained puts a lot of thought into beer matching on its menus, so the creation of this unique, limited edition brew represented a great opportunity to work together. Our bespoke Rye Porter will be dark and spicy and brewed together with Kained to ensure that it sits alongside its festive food offering.
“And when our second brewery comes on stream at Glasgow Green later this year, we’ll have the capacity to produce a range of bespoke beers for a variety of licensed trade outlets.”

The Rye Porter will be a fantastic addition to our offering and complement our aged beef perfectly.”
Available from the first week in December whilst stocks last, The Rye Porter will be stocked at WEST on Glasgow Green and WEST on the Corner on Woodlands Road as well as Kained Holdings outlets Lebowskis South, Finnieston, Crafty Pig, Crosslands and Porter & Rye.
