Verdict on Werewolves

Recap

The movie follows a scientist who must fight back against a mutation that turns humans into bloodthirsty werewolves. It follows his attempts to stop it before things spiral out of control and he must fight to save his family.

Best Parts

The movie doesn’t hold back with crazed werewolf attacks and some great transformations. It is pure action horror and never lets you take a breath. I mentioned in the first reaction about The Purge with animal attacks. That is everything we get here, nothing is held back and the idea it only happens for one night with a certain moon escalated the problems. It feels like more of a fresh idea in a subgenre of horror that has always struggled to stand out.

Worst Parts

We can see the weakness here being too much chaos. The problem is we only seem to see a couple of people fighting back, we don’t get to see how the rest of the world reacts or the aftermath with people who could have become infested before. It is strange but the first incident feels like it has even more potential, because people would have needed to learn fast and see the changes happening without knowing the truth.

Final ThoughtsWerewolves is a chaotic, wild and entertaining monster movie.
