The Welsh are the true pure Britons, according to the research that has produced the first genetic map of the UK.
Scientists were able to trace their DNA back to the first tribes that settled in the British Isles following the last ice age around 10,000 years ago.
Due to its westerly location and mountainous landscape, few invaders like the Anglo-Saxons, Romans and Vikings ventured into the Welsh lands.
This means the DNA of people living there has not experienced the influx of 'foreign' genes like other parts of Britain.[source DAILY MAIL]
Now, I've gone on about the Welsh and their Brythonic Kings in several Free Planet posts of late. Let's examine the evidence a little, specifically that evidence pertaining to 'fathering of our people by invading forces'.
According to the above-quoted article neither the Romans, nor the Vikings, nor the Normans left much in the way of a genetic footprint on the people of this land. Interesting that... when you consider that 'this country was occupied by said forces' for decades, centuries. Or so we're taught at school, by the Education System.
I know the article goes on about the hilly isolation of Wales, hence the lack of invasion/infestation but... Did the so-called Roman, Viking, Norman occupation of our lands really exist in the way we've been taught in our schools, or did the Kings of Wales (with King Arthur I and King Arthur II among them) kick the shit out of these invaders and send them back to the rancid cunt-gash they spawned from? Incendiary words, surely but let's continue on, fearlessly. There is lots of hisorical evidence of a less-stomach pissing British response to foreign armies who would be invited into our lands for political aims...
So, who are the Real Kings of Briton? Albyne of Syrian? Brutus of Troy? Has the study looked into the dark-skinned curly-haired Welsh warriors Julius Caesar BC 50 came across and wrote about? Need we only follow THESE PIRATE/WAR BOATS back round the Pillars of Hercules i.e. Malta, to find our Mediterranean genetic forefathers in BC 1500 and BC 500 respectively? And what of the Khumric language, root of the Welsh we hear spoken today?
All of British History needs a proper Spring Clean.
