Skulls in Paris catacombs
I have visited many catacombs on my travels, but none as neatly organized as the catacombs in Paris (a big hit with Ruby, who was seven at the time).
The structured yet eye-catching way the bones are stacked is, to me, very French, echoing the organized beauty the store displays of tea tins, scarves, breads, hardware, etc., you see throughout Paris.
