In my quest to improve life, business and self, I come across so many wonderful sites ~ some are bookish, some life-changing, and some just down-right hilarious. I hope you’ll enjoy this new feature of The Novel Life and share a few of your own personal favorites from the week. Feel free to grab the button, write a post including 3-4 of your favorite sites and/or posts from the week and leave the link in the comments. Enjoy!
Word Dynamo ~ this site is great for all ages, from the youngest vocabulary student to the oldest college student {and I’ve heard of some students who go to school pretty late in life so don’t think this site excludes!} I’m embarrassed to say that I started on the $20 college words/match word with definition. . .let’s just say I didn’t get very far til I went back to the younger age game! Definitely entertaining, and with school back in session, a great way to get your youngster to see words as F.U.N.!
Vocabulary.com ~ a bit easier (somewhat) than Word Dynamo but the more questions you answer the trickier the next question becomes! Vocabulary questions asked in numerous formats, fill-in-the-blank, definition, synonym/antonym ~ several ways for the program to see how much you know, where your weaknesses may be and how to help improve your vocabulary. Super fun but more geared towards adults rather than the younger set.
The Novelist ~ I’ve never been a gamer but this particular game has me intrigued! Play a novelist whose choices determine the lives of the Kaplan family yet at the same time, discover more about myself, my choices & influences. . . Whew! Could be seriously fun or seriously eerie! What do you think about the game? Have you heard about it? Want to play it?
So what fantabulous sites did you come across this past week?
