Hello everyone! I hope your week is going great! At my house, we are busy preparing for the holidays. I imagine that you are as well. Goodness, there is so much to do! In addition to getting our last minute Christmas shopping done, I have to get our Christmas cards mailed out as well. Despite how busy we are, I’m particularly excited about the fact that this Christmas, all of our children will be home. We won’t have the privilege of having all of our grandchildren with us or our future son-in-law so that will tug at our hearts, but we are counting our blessings for sure.
In regard to counting our blessings, for this weeks Wednesday Wanderings post, I am going to share a quote from author Don Miguel Ruiz. I find his teachings to be very powerful, and I count his teachings as a blessing. His teachings are so powerful to me that I actually have his book, The Four Agreements, on my nightstand. The quote that I find meaningful today is noted below:
“Under any circumstance, always do your best, no more and no less. But keep in mind that your best is never going to be the same from one moment to the next. Everything is alive and changing all the time, so your best will sometimes be high quality, and other times it will not be as good.” Don Miguel Ruiz
What thought(s) came to your mind when you read this? The thought that came to my mind is that I know on some days I have the energy and zest to give whatever it is I’m doing my best, and yet on other days, I just don’t seem to be able to make things happen. On the days when I feel like I am not accomplishing much, I feel somewhat emotionally down. There’s nothing to celebrate. There is definitely an ebb and flow to each day. A great example of the daily ebb and flow happens to be this particular blog post! For some reason, I’m having a difficult time writing my thoughts down yet a week ago I published a book. How does this happen? Maybe this is the balance of life? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Growing stronger…
